The International Secretariat of the Global Youth Service Day (GYSD) had selected Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD) to be this year’s National Lead Agency in the Philippines.  GYSD is a global youth celebration around the world which is held from April 24 to 26 of each year.  GYSD is now on its 21st year and BROOD had been an active local organizer since 2006.  Previous NLAs includes the United Nations Volunteers and Voice of the Youth Network (VOTY). World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009 will be this year’s main contribution of the organization to the event.  However since WCYF 2009 is a collaboration of both local and international organizations it will also be the a real global youth event.  WCYF 2009 will be held from 5 to 10 May, 2009 at the University of the Philippine’s National College of Public Administration and Governance and will be participated by about 300 participants from more than 55 countries including the Philippines.
