The Millennium Development Goals (MDG) is a key advocacy which the organization supports.  In fact it is among the major issues that is included in elections around the world including the Philippines.  

 

 

MDG NOW Youth Forum is an online youth forum that aims to connect youth leaders in the country to discuss and learn different issues concerning Millennium Development Goals. To gather youthful ideas in formulating concrete plans, programs and projects in attaining the 8 MDGs. Learn more on how you can join this MDG event below...

We're calling youth participants who are:

• (15-30 years old) belongs to a youth or youth serving organization nationwide
• Willing to spend 2-3 hours a week online to meet other youth participants and discuss MDGs
• have a skype and yahoo account
• Have strong interest in the MDG

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Promote MDGs in their localities
• Submit regular reports (weekly, monthly)
• Submit Mid-term and Final Project

BENEFITS:

• Be part of the youth network of Voice of the Youth (VOTY) and BROOD and meet other youth and student leaders nationwide
• Have the opportunity to receive Project Management training and attend seminars related to MDGs and other youth programs in the country and international
• Receive a Certificate of Recognition and Completion and
• Other relevant opportunities for the youth

There will be 8 courses as there are 8 MDGs to attain for 2015. Each course will run for 2-3 months. There will be 5-6 regular online sessions for each course. There will be a mid-term and final project aside from the reports. We will only select 24 youth participants, selected equally in gender-based, geographically- based (at least 1 or 2 from each region)

We are also calling for youth mentors and facilitators who had a strong background on MDGs.

YOUTH MENTORS/FACILITATORS

 

- will be the one to craft the module of each courses (there are 8 courses from 8 MDGs) and willing to be spend voluntarily 2-3 hours online a week to facilitate and be the resource persons during the online workshop youth forum.

In return, a Certificate of Appreciation and Recognition will be sent to you via email for your participation.
