Beauty and Music filled the air of Tambo Adorable in San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija as seven lovely beauties competed for the title of Bb. Kalikasan 2008 in the Sining, Sayaw at Himig Para sa Kalikasan, one of the legs of the Brotherhood of Destiny (BROOD) - World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009 Earth Caravan.  "Bangon Kabataan Para sa Kalikasan" was the theme of the event which also showcased a competition for the Attire of the Earth where recycled and indigenous materials were used by the candidates.  There was also a Fashion of the Earth where the youth organizers of the event was clad in recycled and innovative clothing which makes use of materials you never thought can be made into stylish fashion.

More than 70 tri-people youth leaders coming from different organizations all over the country have gathered here in Cotabato for the conduct of the Mindanao Youth Peace Summit and Peace Mission, themed “Building Ethno-Cultural and Interfaith Bridges of Understanding among Youth.” This summit provided avenues for youth leaders to witness firsthand the effects of the ongoing armed hostilities.

Just recently I have shared my ideas on blogging for a cause during the Philippine Bloggers Night at the My LIttle Arts Place in Greenhills, San Juan on June 10, 2008. Sharing the experiences of being a youth leader, a blogger owning several blogs which includes this one, Pagod Ka Na Bang Maging si Juan , The Blog Reviewer , and Ordinary People, Ordinary Day among others I tried to inspire fellow bloggers to blog not only for personal or money reasons but also to inspire others.

BROOD - San Leonardo Chapter together with Pagasa Youth Association with the help of the Barangay Council of Brgy. Tambo Adorable, San Leonardo, Nueva Ecija will have their Earth Caravan entitled Himig Nyts on October 24, 2008.  The theme of the event is "Bangon Kabataan Para sa Kalikasan!" or Youth Rise Up for the Environmen.  The event will showcase bands and music performances as well as a Search for Bb. Kalikasan.

In support of the Global Day of Action Against Climate Change and World Creative Youth Forum (WCYF) 2009 Baliuag.net together with Kabanda Foundation will stage a Band Festival and Music Event on December 6, 2008 in Baliuag, Bulacan.  Climate Change continuously affects everyone as the heat surge continuous, as storms becomes more deadly and as the Earth becomes more and more endangered.For updates on the event please visit www.baliuag.net.  Baliuag.net is a project of the organization in support of the freedom of ingformation.

In behalf of the organization, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of MR. MARC DE BORJA who passed away, September 19, 2008. Sir Marc de Borja had been very supportive of the organizations project particularly the Rock for Peace Battle of the Bands of Baliuag.net and he had also help fund the 3rd BROOD Youth Survivor Camp in Nueva Ecija.  We will never forget you Sir Marc!
